UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST (PART 2)

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

The church is one body that has many members, who have been called from every nation, tribe, people and tongue. When we receive Christ, we become new creations; there is no separation of race, culture, learning, and nationality, no distinctions between high and low, rich and poor, man and woman, there must be no division among us.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1Corinthians 1:10)

The Bible teaches us that regardless of our various earthly backgrounds, we who have been baptised into Christ are all equal in Him, who by one Spirit has bonded us into one fellowship with Him. And with one another; we are to serve and be served without partiality or reservation. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

Through the Scriptures, we know that we partake of the same faith and hope, and witness of the same to all through Jesus Christ. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:4-6)

Therefore, there is no reason whatsoever to allow ourselves be divided. We must become believers who get past their being self-absorbed and selfish to seeking to promote Christ and the message of the Gospel so that we can reach and reap the world into the Kingdom.

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

Let us pray…

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 18:19)

1. Lord, let every member in the body of Christ make personal efforts that are necessary to unify the body of Christ.

2. Lord, save the body of Christ from bitterness and rage of division that seek to hinder and stop our operations and mandates in Jesus name.
