WORSHIP AND REVIVAL

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
worship him.
(John 4:23)
As christians, we are no strangers to the term Worship. We read regularly in the Bible, especially the Book of Psalm that is filled with hundreds of worship and praise anthems clearly instructing us on how to worship God.
Psalm 99:5 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is Holy (KJV).
Yet, even after hearing the word worship in conversations, testimonies, hymns and bible verses, most of us do not completely understand what it means.
Worship is not the slow, sober song that the choir with their sonorous voice sing, neither is it the fixed stance of your body or just the lifting up of hands or the amount of tears flowing down your cheeks or laying prostrate on the floor. Now while these may be expressions and postures of worship,( learn more about the postures of worship by getting the audio message by visiting our estore at www.gospelpillarsestore.com), they do not define what true worship really is.
There are various definitions of the word worship but one in particular sums up the priority we should accord Worship: Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission (Webster’s Dictionary,1828).
True worship would then be defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our scale of preference.
True worship is the state of the heart expressed through a lifestyle. Therefore, if your lifestyle does not express worship through an extravagant love for God, and you do not live in excessive submission to God, you may need to reconsider what you call worship.
We worship God because He is God. It is that simple!!!!
Our Excessive Love and submission to God should come out of the realization that God is God!!
Think on who He is not what He did or can do. Pure worship should proceed from that knowledge.
Psalm 96:5-6 says, “For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.”
This just means that our worship must be geared towards the One who is worthy because of His identity as the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent One, and not just because He is able to meet our needs. When we worship with such purity of Heart, God will come dwell with and in us. Seek out opportunities and meetings where you can worship the Father in spirit and in truth and stay revived!
BEHOLD THE GLORY is one of such meetings – a time dedicated to the worship of our God, a time not filled with the usual service activities, where you can come in genuineness of heart and a deep desire to worship and seek after God.
You can join thousands of worshippers both LIVE and online to Behold God’s Glory through Worship. Hallelujah!
