THE SPEAKING EARTHQUAKE
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
Prophecies, apart from the usual form we know it – to comfort or reveal, may also come to reproof and reconcile people to God as His greatest passion is reconciliation. A prophetic warning given about the consequences of sin, is going to be with the aim of reconciling us to the Father and one way to weigh such prophecies is the actualization or manifestation of the consequences of our action or in action when such prophecies come to us.
Let us consider one of such prophecies as rendered by the man of God.
On the 12th day of February 2017, the man of God, Dr. Isaiah Wealth was interrupted by the Spirit of God while he ministered in a Sunday Service. He was led to render a unique word of prophecy relating to an earthquake that was to come upon the earth as a sign from God to call men to repentance.
Here is an excerpt of the prophecy as rendered by the man of God. “I have my message for today but I was interrupted.
God said “No, you need to prophesy some things and you need to teach the people so they can understand what you have prophesied”.
Now the word of the Lord came to me and I heard the Lord say “Let the mountains be judged”, and the Lord came to me and spoke to me and opened my eyes to see and I saw an earthquake that is to come on the earth before the end of this first quarter and the Lord says “The sins of men would be judged, would be judged and the timing has been set, that if men don’t repent, before this first quarter is over, there will be a terrible earthquake that will judge the sin of men and God says “when they see this being confirmed, it is a sign to man to say repent of your sins and come back to God, repent of your sins and come back to God!
It is important to pay attention to the details of this prophecy by the man of God, in order to appreciate the significance of its fulfilment.
Number 1: The man of God mentions an earthquake.
An earthquake is a violent shaking and vibration of the earth crust that may cause destruction to buildings and results from the sudden release of tectonic stress along a fault line or from volcanic activity.
Number 2: The man of God further mentioned that this earthquake would be a sign from God to men that they must repent
Number 3: He went further to clarify the timing of this prophetic sign as the first quarter of the year 2017.
PROPHECY FULFILED
45 days after this prophecy was rendered, and exactly two days to the end of the first quarter of 2017, News headlines reported an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 on the Richter Scale, in the far Eastern Russian Peninsula of Kamchatka on the 29th of March, 2017.
Of note is the report that a volcano which has been inactive for over 250years was triggered by the earth crust movement which resulted in the earthquake. This caught researchers by surprise as such an occurrence was not in any way anticipated.
This confirms the prophecy by the man of God that this will be a sign from God for men to repent of their sins.
The man of God emphasizes the need for men to repent from their sins and turn back to God as the reason why God would give this earthquake as a sign.
The word ‘repent’ which means to feel remorse for wrong done and to change ones ways, is a six letter word.
R – E – P – E – N – T. ( spell and count). That being said, it is important to note also that the earthquake that occurred on the 29th day of March, 2017 registered a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale, which is an international scale for measuring the severity of earthquakes from 1 to 10. This is not a coincidence as even the magnitude of the earthquake speaks, repeating the word REPENT, REPENT, which is 6.6.
Just two days to the end of the first quarter of 2017, an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 on the Richter Scale confirmed the prophecy rendered by the man of God of an earthquake coming as a sign from God to call men to repentance.
This goes beyond doubt to confirm that God indeed speaks by His servant, Dr. Isaiah Wealth, and has confirmed this prophecy so that men may see this, gain instruction and repent of their sins.
