In light of the recent happenings in the nation and amidst the ensuin威而鋼 g protests and riots, one might be too quick to jump to the conclusion that Nigeria is getting worse. While that seems to be the happenings physically, it is not the same in the realms of the spirit because what we actually see in the physical will usher in what God has in store for Nigeria.Just like we reiterated in the last edition, a great Revival is coming to that Nation, and it will sweep across all corners of the country, not just the Body of Christ. The greatness of Nigeria and the purpose of God for her have been prophesied many times by God’s servants, the prophets.Let us consider one of such prophecies.
PROPHECY ABOUT THE COMING REVIVAL
The Lord says to Nigeria,”I have given you a missionary spirit and I am surely going to change the nations of the earth through you. But now I will give you the anointing to change your nation. I am going to begin to unravel the corrupt system in Nigeria and men will say it is impossible…There is going to be a revival in the Universities…a large magnitude, that the revival in the Universities will affect the secondary schools and the primary schools. And the Lord says the unity of the leaders is coming. It’s going to uproot and dethrone the occult. For I’m going to overthrow the occult spirit. And I’m going to use Nigeria to heal the rest of Africa because what happens in Nigeria will affect the whole continent. I am going to tear it down and I’m going to make it shift and it will be one of the safest nations on the face of the earth says God. Halleluyah.” ~ Cindy Jacobs, 2002.
These words are over Nigeria but we have to play our part to fill the clouds with our prayers so the clouds can empty themselves over Nigeria.
With a passion to see Nigeria great, let us pray these prayers over Nigeria.”The is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” (2Kings 20:5)
1. Lord, we ask for Your healing hands upon Nigeria, that You heal every area of her that is hurting and bleeding in Jesus Name.“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow’s cause.” (Isaiah 1:17).
2. Lord, we ask for an outpouring of justice for all who have and are experiencing injustice in whatever way. We ask for a leadership that is just and fair in Jesus name.Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)
3. Lord, we ask that You bring Nigeria to a place where You can use her for the mighty purposes You have preordained for her before the foundations of the earth in Jesus name.
